I heard there is a 'store wars' going on between Asda and Sainsbury's! ..as to who can get there hands on the Grove Co-op

I have been told that it is asda as from may & all the staff have to re-apply for the jobs...it will give sainsbury's a run for its money....

God i hope not! I can't stand Asda and the filth they market as food!
Bad as the Coop is and as dear as it is, at least their food is edible!

Coleman, I've heard Asda are looking to get out of that store anyway. Bad access and whoever planned it should be shot!

Asda is pretty good a lot of there food is a dam site better than sainsbury's and there clothes are much better than sainsbury's, granted the stockport outlet could be cleaner but that is down to the store manager.

New broom sweeps clean so they say...lets see.

I would welcome Asda to the Grove. Sainsbury is poor, shelves never full, fruit and veg spoils before sell by date and over priced. I must admit I never shop in co-op so cannot comment on that, but I think Asda would be good for the area. Hope all the people at co-op get their jobs at the new Asda.
