I am wondering if anyone knows what the site entrances are on Offerton road? they are on the hazel Grove side of Stockport golf club.

i think they are for the farmer to cut his fields, he had some big machinery parked in the layby recently and the signs are also up torky bends by other fields that have recently been cut

They are for national grid to get access to the pylons, they are working on all of them through hazel grove and offerton

Yes it is Dan Bank moving all the rubbish to the layby,
I can't believe the mess they are making with liquid concrete flowing all over the road, the grass verges and trees, at this rate it will destroy the tree;s and grassed area which is a feature that hides the layby and looks quite nice, it will leave the area in a mess and take years to recover,we all drive and walk past this site everyday so it needs to be kept in a good state of repair. Some one from the construction company Bethel /SMBC needs to make sure it isn't left in such a state,

Its been a few weeks since my last post when the local councilor said he would 'ensure the layby wouldn't be left in a state' having given time for action !it's now in a worse state. I post again, since my last post 3 weeks ago the area has got worse, the appearence and long lasting effect of destroying the grassed - tree area has not been rectified at all, but profit must always come before our local area, considering the works at Dan Bank are ahead of schedual, it's a pity the area they are dumping waste onto isn't ahead of schedual in putting it back to its origional state, I am sure the destruction via transportation of waste is cost effective for Bethel increasing their profit at the cost of us locals 'simialr to 17 window' the expence of tax payers for individuals, company profit how do SMBC negociate contracts for work without the considerations for tax payers in the local area !!!
