Not again! That is, if I've counted right, the fourth major hole in the road up there over the last two or three years. Each has created total traffic mayhem, sometimes outside peak hours as well as, inevitably, during them.

The gas alliance are to be congratulated they managed to cause Traffic jams stretching from Lyme Park entrance to the road leading to the level crossing this morning (Monday)

hi guys,new here,was actually looking for info on the roadwork but came across this forum.
anyway as i live just down the road from these roadworks ive passed them about 3 times today and everytime there seems to be nothing happening!
youd have thought they would throw all resources at these sort of things knowing what the traffic will be like plus it must be causing more harmfull emissions with all the cars stop starting in traffic etc?
i even noticed the big hole dug in one lane of the a6 near the 3 tunnes then just left!!
somones having a laugh somewhere with all these roadworks being dug and just left?
on a brighter note at least they only go on for 6 weeks in high lane!!!!!
