Does anyone know what happened just outside the Phoenix pub yesterday evening?
It looked like a child had been hit by a car. There was an ambulance which was there for over 30 mins - it didn't look good.
The police managed to arrive just after the ambulance and people had gone!

I was wondering about that myself, drove past on my way home.
I assumed at the time it was someone elderly, they were being attended to on the grass so i though it was someone who collapsed.

It was about 6pm. I was coming home from work and the ambulance had just arrived and was helping the child on the grass verge, then just as I was turning onto my drive a police car flew down Bramhall Moor Lane. Hope the child is OK and makes a speedy recovery, thoughts are with his family and friends.

I saw it too.
It was awful. I didn't think it was that bad an accident at first until i saw all the blood on the blanket the paramedics were using.
I didn't see the accident itself but it must of been a car. I hope the child's going to be ok and i hope the police catch whoever hit him.

How can you call it a hit and run incident when you dont even know what happened?

I don't think anyone does know what happend but it just looked liked it was.
Maybe road accident would of been a better desciption but there was no car parked anywhere near the incident and the child had definitely been hit by some force.
And as Garthy1981 said, a police car sped off just as the ambulance had arrived to help the child.
To find the car that hit him? Who knows, that was my point.
