dodgy door to door person?

Has anybody else had somebody knocking door to door claiming to be a reformed young offender, trying to raise money for an electricians course, by selling stuff (out of a duffle bag)?

Could be somebody casing the area, so I'd keep an eye out. Guy had black curly hair, and appeared to be mixed race, and was carrying a very tatty paper "ID".

Saw him near Deneside crescent at around 2:30pm
